Consultancy, Professional Advice and Facilitation
I work with organisations as a consultant and advisor. My role in the relationship is to make you and your team successful and to develop your capability for the future.

I have a broad experience of knowledge management tools and techniques, including KM strategy and implementation, communities of practice, organisational (social) network analysis, lessons learned, debriefs, good practice transfer and knowledge capture.
As a learning and development professional, I also frequently work in the areas of culture, behaviours, leadership, change management and workshop design and facilitation.

Engaging people in the importance of Knowledge Management and Organisational Learning
Through presentation, business storytelling and high-value examples, I can engage staff at all levels. This has included the boards of major corporations, practitioners, senior civil servants, subject experts and newly inducted graduates.  Over 150 clients include 10 Government departments, Vodafone, Shell, PwC, Linklaters, Schlumberger, Pfizer, World Bank, World Rugby and the International Olympic Committee.

Typical Assignments include

  • KM Strategy – facilitating workshops to create vision, assess maturity and capability, develop transformation maps, embed in Operational Excellence and Performance Improvement processes, stakeholder interviews and senior engagement.

  • People/Communities – Everything around Communities of Practice – training, tools, design, roles, approaches, launch, maturity assessment, Social Network Analysis, health checks, knowledge awards and even a board game!

  • Learning Processes – Review, improvement, design and facilitation of how lessons are identified, managed and re-used.  Processes for learning before, during and after (debriefing) activities.

  • Knowledge Capture – Advice on the identification of key knowledge assets and processes/roles for managing and sustaining them.  Knowledge retention/risk strategy.

  • Training – Overview/Engagement workshops at all levels, from lunch-and-learn through to 2-day experiential programmes.
